Telangana Government will conducting the Group-1 service examination to fill the vacancies in various departments. Every year AP and Telangana will combined conduct the group-1 entrance test. Due to separation of state from 2016 Telangana state conducting the separate group-1 test to fill the vacancies in group-1 cadre jobs in various departments in Telangana state. That's why Telangana state government released new syllabus on August 2016 Monday. TSPSC Group-1 entrance test will be done in 2 stages, in first stage preliminary examination will be conducted and after that Mains examination will be conducted final round is Interview.
TSPSC Group-1 Syllabus for Preliminary Test
  • General Studies
  • Current Affairs – Regional, National & International.
  • International Relations and Events.
  • General Science; India’s Achievements in Science and Technology.
  • Environmental Issues: Disaster Management- Prevention and Mitigation Strategies.
  • Economic and Social Development of India.
  • World Geography, Indian Geography and Geography of Telangana state.
  • History and Cultural Heritage of India.
  • Indian Constitution and Polity.
  • Governance and Public Policy in India.
  • Policies of Telangana State.
  • Society, Culture, Heritage, Arts and Literature of Telangana.
  • Social Exclusion: Rights issues such as Gender, Caste, Tribe, Disability etc. and inclusive policies.
  • Logical Reasoning: Analytical Ability and Data Interpretation
  • Mental Ability

The examination will be conducted for 150 marks from above topics and the duration period for the examination will be 2 and half hour.

  • Spotting Errors – Spelling; Punctuation
  • Fill in the blanks – Prepositions; Conjunctions; Verb tenses
  • Re-writing sentences – Active and Passive voice; Direct & Reported Speech; Usage of Vocabulary

Mains examination will have 6 papers and each paper will be designed with 150 marks. Duration period for the examination will be 3 hours.
